The New Branch Ranch Foundation is a growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making equine wellness, therapy, and education affordable and accessible to underserved communities in the Greater New Orleans area.

Rooted in the same values that guide New Branch Ranch—compassion, empathy, courage, and perseverance—our foundation was created to extend our mission beyond just horseback riding. We believe horses have the power to heal, build confidence, and teach valuable life skills — and we want to share that opportunity with those who might not otherwise have access.

  • We offer therapeutic programs that support mental and emotional well-being through meaningful, guided interactions with horses. These experiences promote healing, confidence, and calm.

  • Our hands-on horsemanship programs teach riding skills, horse care, and responsibility in a safe, supportive environment — helping participants grow in confidence, empathy, and leadership.

  • We provide a second chance for horses in need — rescuing, caring for, and rehabilitating them with compassion and patience, while giving them a purpose in our community programs.

  • We’re committed to breaking down barriers by offering accessible, inclusive programs for underserved and at-risk populations — ensuring everyone has the opportunity to connect with horses.
